David McNeely/Edward Jones Weekend Forecast
A few light showers are moving through northern portions of DeSoto at 3:30 am this morning. Most of the thunderstorm activity is to our north and will miss NW Mississippi it appears. If you don’t get a rain shower this morning, chances do not look good for any additional rain over the next 7 days. I have received 0.05″ of rain over the past 20 days. The dry period looks to continue.
Today will be cloudy this morning with a 30% chance for scattered showers. Skies should become partly cloudy this afternoon. Winds will be from the SW at 5-10 mph. Today’s high will be 93 with a low tonight of 75.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs around 90, lows near 70, and winds from the NW at 5-10 mph.
