Another Week with Slightly Cooler Than Average Temps
A front is stalled to our south across central Mississippi today. It will move back to the north through the metro area on Monday and bring additional shower chances to the area. Temperatures will remain just below average for this time of year through next weekend, but I do believe that normal temperatures are just outside of this 7 day forecast.
Today will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with winds from the NW at about 5 mph. Today’s high will be 89 with a low tonight of 72. Chances for scattered thunderstorms today will be 20% in NW MS, with slightly higher chances across NE MS.
Monday will be partly sunny with a 30% chance for mainly late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms. Highs on Monday should reach the middle 80’s with lows near 70, and winds will be from the NW at about 5 mph.
Mostly cloudy Tuesday with a 60% chance for thunderstorms. Winds will be from the SW at 5 mph and our high will be around the middle 80’s. Lows will be in the lower 70’s.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a 40% chance for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle 80’s and lows near 70.
Mostly cloudy Thursday with highs in the middle 80’s, lows in the lower 70’s, and a 40% chance for scattered thunderstorms.
Friday will be partly sunny with highs in the middle 80’s, lows in the lower 70’s, along with a 30% chance for afternoon storms.
Partly sunny Saturday with highs near 90 and a 20% chance for afternoon storms.
