There Will Be Judgment One Day

In the culture of today, we as Christians grieve in our spirits as seemingly godless people spew hatred and constantly attack everything good and decent in our society. This past Christmas, some decades old music favorites were deemed offensive. Innocence isn’t even in our culture anymore as people will twist lyrics to mean evil intent, even when the author didn’t.
The liberally minded media make every attempt to destroy conservatives, especially evangelicals. They unceasingly and viciously attack a sitting President. While he may give them ammunition from time to time, they have no respect for the Office of the President and are doing nothing to unify the Nation, but rather wish to openly divide it, attacking anyone on the right. It seems they would prefer the Nation hate President Trump. The left leaning news reporters and anchors do seem to forget the fact that regarding the Presidential popular vote in 2016, Democratic candidate Clinton only edged Trump by 2.6 million votes out of 128.4 million votes cast. And if the very blue state of California were omitted from the count, the President won the popular vote by 1.5 million votes. Which means that in round numbers, half the nation supported him. They’re attacking half of America but think little of it. They even defamed a former President, a good and decent man, a day after he passed away. And nothing is sacred or left alone by people who wish to remove God from every facet of our society, attacking everything concerning Him and His commands, all while claiming to be the tolerant ones.
We wonder aloud “when will it end?” The truth is, it won’t end in our lifetime, but rather will get worse. Read Paul’s warning to Timothy…..
“You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”2 Timothy 3:1-5
So, where is the hope that we will eventually see the righteous vindicated and see the wicked’s actions judged?
Why it’s in the word of course! Take heart my friends! The Bible has much to say about what awaits those who malign innocent men and women because they’re Christian, and those who mock God and His children, the Jews. Corrupt politicians, liberal media personalties, along with many Hollywood actors and actresses, all spew their godless hatred against all things good and decent. They would wipe out Christianity if only they could! But they will ALL stand before the Lord to answer for their hatred. Let’s look at some verses which speak of judgment, shall we? All scriptures are from the New Living Translation (NLT).
“A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”Matthew 12:35-37
“Soon the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone.”Psalms 37:10
“The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates those who love violence. He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.”Psalms 11:5-6
“The Lord protects all those who love Him, but He destroys the wicked.”Psalms 145:20
“On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”Malachi 4:3
“He does not let the wicked live but gives justice to the afflicted.”Job 36:6
“But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s laws.’”Matthew 7:23
“And He will reply, ‘I tell you, I don’t know you or where you come from. Get away from Me, all you who do evil.’”Luke 13:27
“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns His face against those who do evil.”1 Peter 3:12
“But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly. For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.”Psalms 1:4-6
What sorrow awaits you who lie awake at night, thinking up evil plans. You rise at dawn and hurry to carry them out, simply because you have the power to do so. When you want a piece of land, you find a way to seize it. When you want someone’s house, you take it by fraud and violence. You cheat a man of his property, stealing his family’s inheritance. But this is what the Lord says: “I will reward your evil with evil; you won’t be able to pull your neck out of the noose. You will no longer walk around proudly, for it will be a terrible time.”Micah 2:1-3
“Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.”Revelation 22:14-15
“And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be My children. “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”Revelation 21:6-8
There are SO many more verses we could list, but these should encourage you! And lest you think I’m being mean, I am merely quoting the Lord! The truth is, no one gets away with their actions forever! There’s coming a day when His light will shine on ALL evil, and that evil will be judged! EVERYONE will stand before the Lord and answer to Him for the life given them by Him. Note the following…..
“I have sworn by My own name; I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on My word: Every knee will bend to Me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to Me.”Isaiah 45:23
“For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to Me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God. ’” Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”Romans 14:11-12
“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”Philippians 2:10-11
So justice will one day be served! But please make sure that YOU are not among those who are judged as wicked and unrighteous on that terrible day of wrath! Turn back to God! Surrender your heart! Confess your sins! Repent! Judgment Day is certainly coming! If you don’t see it in your lifetime, then you will surely see it at the end of your life when you stand before Him and give account. I leave you with the writer’s warning in Hebrews….
“Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume His enemies. For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The Lord will judge His own people.” It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”Hebrews 10:26-31
Once again, you have been warned. And all God’s people said “Amen!”
