Southaven has a new Alderman.
Charlie Hoots took his oath of office Tuesday evening, during the city’s board meeting.
Hoots, you might remember, won a runoff election earlier in March to take over the vacated seat of former Alderman, Ronnie Hale.
Hoots said “I’m excited to be part of such a great group of people and hope to make our residents proud.”
Mayor Darren Musselwhite gave the oath to Hoots, while a Bible that was opened to Jeremiah 29:11 was being held by Marie Fuller and Hoots’ daughter Emily.
