The Northwest Mississippi Association of Realtors has donated $10,000 to the National Realtors Relief Foundation to use in relief efforts in Texas and Florida in the aftermath of hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Those storms brought with it 100 mph winds, historic rainfall, and catastrophic flooding — damaging homes and displacing more than a million people.

“We are neighbors, even if we aren’t in the same area,” said Jay McMiller, NWMAR 2017 President, “We are a community, Realtors always answer the call when asked. We want to help those devastated by these storms continue to build the American Dream.”

The REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF) was established by the National Association of REALTORS® in 2001 to provide housing-related assistance to victims of natural or man- made disasters.

Since its launch, RRF has raised more than $25 million for victims of disasters, such as wildfires, floods, tornados, and hurricanes. This charitable foundation is dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disaster.
