Horn Lake Hires Former Southaven Mayor Greg Davis

The city of Horn Lake board of alderman made a bold move Tuesday night, hiring a new economic development consultant.
In a 5 to 2 vote Alderman voted to hire former Southaven Mayor Greg Davis.
“We need him to help bring in economic development into our community”.
He has a proven and successful track record
of developing communities, said alderman Charlie Roberts.
Roberts made the motion to hire Davis.
Davis will start with the city as a volunteer consultant but Roberts believes it will turn into a permanent paid
position before long.
” I believe the new development he brings in will more than pay for any future salary”, Roberts said.
You may remember Greg Davis was the driving force in the successful growth of the City Of Southaven
during his tenure as mayor.
As far as Davis’s past legal problems, Roberts said,
“Davis was vindicated and was found not guilty, why
wouldn’t we take advantage of his skills and ability to
recruit for our city.
Davis starts work Wednesday.
