Supervisors Announce Curbside Recycling

The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors held a news conference Monday announcing a new partnership with Waste Pro.

The county will offer residents who live in unincorporated areas of DeSoto County curbside recycling.

Residents will be able to get a 96-gallon bin to put with their regular garbage pick-up, and it won’t cost them any extra money.

DeSoto County is the 3rd county in the state to offer curbside recycling.

“The people have been requesting for a long time that we recycle and we wanna be good stewards of our earth,” says Lee Caldwell, the DeSoto Co Supervisor District 4.

Recycling starts October 1st, residents will be able to request a bin when they get their garbage bill.
