Police Wives Auxiliary Plans A Sea Of Blue

The ladies of the Southaven Police Wives Auxiliary are planning a Peace Officer Memorial Day in Southaven.
The event will have a wreath placing ceremony and a law enforcement sea of blue.
They are honoring Lieutenant Billy Lance who was killed in the line of duty in 1988.
The Ceremony will take place Monday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southaven Police Department on Northwest Drive.
They would love to have as many supporter show up for the event and if you can’t make it there the processional of the sea of blue will wind throughout the city.
They are asking for residents to decorate your homes and neighborhoods in Blue as a tribute to the memory of Lance and to honor all of our local law enforcement officers.
A county wide Fallen Heroes Memorial will be 10 a.m. Friday May 5 at the DeSoto County Courthouse in Hernando.
