Citizen’s Police Academy In Southaven Taking Applications

The Southaven Police Department is taking applications for their 14 annual Citizen’s Police Academy.
The twelve week class will start on Monday February 27, at the Southaven Police Department on Northwest Drive.
The CPA gives citizens an insight into how the police department servers our community on a daily basis.
Classes will start at 6:30 and are taught by SPD and other law enforcement officers from around the area.
Topics of the classes include patrol, communications, investigation, SWAT, K-9, traffic and search and rescue.
They even take tours to the Desoto County jail and Narcotics Unit.
Space is limited to 25 and its first come first served.
