As we approach the final shopping days before Christmas law-enforcement officials recommend that we pay closer attention to our surroundings.
“The crooks are paying close attention to shoppers” said Southaven Police Lt. Mark Little.
He warns us to make sure we put all of our packages and valuables out of sight.
Locking them in your trunk or covering them so they can’t be seen by somebody walking by your vehicle is best.
“You would be surprised how many people forget to even lock their cars” he said.
Police are expecting several thousand shoppers to be at local malls over the next few days.
