Gas Leak Relocates Students
HERNANDO,MS
A underground gas leak was discovered last night on the DeSoto County Alternative Center/Magnolia Campus in Hernando.
Maintenance crews worked throughout the night to fix the problem, but were unable to complete the repairs before classes were to resume today.
Students and staff were relocated to the Career and Technical Center in Horn Lake
for the school day. “The safety and well being of our students is our number one priority, and we want to ensure that their environment is safe, comfortable, and conducive to learning”. said Katherine Nelson with the Desoto County Schools. Everything is hoped to be back to normal tomorrow…
