DeSoto County classes are off to a great start for the 2017-2018 school year.

DeSoto, with nearly 34 thousand students, is the largest school district in the state of Mississippi.

“We are excited to see each student and we want them to know that they are our number one priority”

said one school principal adding,

6th grade teacher Laura Robinson telling students what to expect this school year.

“We are a safe and caring place for your children to gain their education and they are in good hands.”

With 40 campuses county wide the school system reported no problems on their first day of classes.
