Four Southaven Police Officers Hang Up Their Badges

The Southaven Police Department held a Retirement reception for four of their finest with a total of 76 years of protecting the citizens of Southaven.

Retiring were Sergeant Gary Pruett with 10 years of service;
Sergeant Gaston McCormick with 25 years of service;
Lt Tim Wood with 17 years of service and Sergeant Joe McPherson with 24 years of service.
The event was attended by Mayor Musselwhite and Aldermen Hale and Ferguson and family and co-workers.
Even former Police Chief Tom Long stopped by to see the men he hired years ago.
Let’s wish these men well in their enjoyment and days of leisure.
