District Attorney Holds Press Conference On Pizza Robbery

District Attorney John Champion held a news conference Thursday to discuss a string of robberies at pizza places in North Mississippi.

Champion said three people with assault rifles and pistols went into a Little Caesars in Batesville, Mississippi around 5:30 p.m.

About 3 hours later, Horn Lake police said the manager at Little Caesars on Goodman Rd was shot Wednesday night during a robbery.

According to police, the manager may have been shot multiple times. The manager was flown to Regional Medical Center.

“The manager is in critical condition at the hospital. said Champion
“The very violent nature of this concerns me,” he said.

The suspects got away in a late model silver or pewter Chevy Impala or Malibu.
Champion said the two pizza place robberies are connected.

“We urge all business owners to take precaution,” Champion said. “There’s just not as much appreciation for human life.”

Let police know of any information that might help them catch these violent suspects.
