Police Dog Takes A Bite Out Of Crime On Car Burglars

On Tuesday, January 3, 2017 around 619 hours the Southaven Police received a call from an individual stating that they observed a subject breaking in to their vehicle on Wedgefield Place in Southaven. When the Police were called the caller and a neighbor were able to hold one (1) of the three (3) subjects at the scene and advised that two (2) other subjects, B/M’s, had fled on foot towards Goodman Rd area. Officers set up a perimeter and called in the K-9 Unit to assist in tracking the fleeing subjects.
After an extensive search all three (3) subjects were apprehended by Officers with the assistance of the K-9 Unit. Two were taken to the Baptist Hospital to be treated for minor dog bite wounds. Detectives were called out to investigate the Auto Burglaries. It is unclear of how many potential cars were broken into at the time of this Release. This is still an open investigation at this time.
Subjects:
1- Alfred B. Hardin Jr., 19 years old, from West Memphis Arkansas.
2- Jermicha L. Berry, 20 years old, from West Memphis Arkansas.
3- 17 year old Juvenile, from West Memphis Arkansas.
